CSX Transportation has closed the railroad crossing on US Business 1/GA 4 (Ossie Davis Parkway) between West Blackshear Avenue and Dresden Street for emergency maintenance and repair.
The closure is expected to reopen late Friday afternoon, November 21. It began at 8 a.m., Monday, November 10.
The closure, which is near Lewis and Raulerson terminal, involves all lanes. No traffic will be allowed to cross the tracks until all the work is complete.
Detour signage is in place on Plant Avenue routing motorists farther west. They should avoid the area if possible.
If unable, motorists should expect delays on all roads in the area and adjust their travel schedules accordingly.
CSX reminds the work is subject to weather and other unforseen conditions.
