• Aggravated Assault: A Pierce County who fled from law enforcement September 28 was captured Monday, October 20 by deputies with the Pierce County Sheriff Office.

Wendell Meadows, age unavailable, was charged September with Aggravated Assault. Meadows then fled from law enforcement and told Pierce County Deputy Corey Sparks “good luck finding me.”

Through an extensive criminal investigation, he was discovered in Pierce County October 20 picking up some items from his residence and was taken into custody on Dixon Road in Pierce County.

Sheriff Bennett thanked all the deputies and investigators who have participated in this investigation and arrest.

• Cruelty to Children - 1st Degree, Possession of Marijuana Less than 1 oz., Transactions in Drug Related Objects Prohibited: Doris Anne Williams, A 71-year-old white female, and Patricia Novella Self, a 30-year-old white female, were arrested Thursday, October 23 following an investigation of October 8 incident.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputy Travis Courson responded to an area in Pierce County. After an initial contact, Deputy Courson requested ACE Unit Investigator Greg Nettles. After further investigation, Williams and Self were arrested.

Williams was charged with Cruelty to Children 1st Degree. Self was charged with Marijuana Possession of Marijuana Less than 1 oz., and Transactions in Drug Related Objects Prohibited.

• Theft by Taking: Thomas Eugene Mott II was arrested by Pierce County Sheriff's Office for two felony warrants of Theft by Taking.

Mott, who was released from prison October 8, 2025, was immediately arrested by Pierce County Sheriff's Office for incidents that occurred August 24, 2023 and August 31, 2023.

• Aggravated Assault (Family Violence), Hindering/Apprehension or Punishment of Criminal: Wendell Duane Meadows, a 57year-old white male, and Rachel Louise Meadows, a 76-year-old white female, were arrested on outstanding warrants Monday, August 20 during a traffic stop in Pierce County.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Deputy Sparks responded September 28, 2025 to a residence in Pierce County. After initial contact, ACE Unit Investigator Nettles was called in to assist.

During a further investigation and with evidence obtained an arrest warrant was issued for Wendell Duane Meadows for Aggravated Assault (Family Violence) and a BOLO (be on look out) was issued.

Rachel Louise Meadows was arrested and charged with Hindering/Apprehension or Punishment of Criminal.

• Sex Offender Registry/ Provide False Information: Gabrier Earl Mortier, a 48-year-old white male, was arrested Wednesday, October 22 and charged with Sex Offender Registry/Provide False Information.

Pierce County Sheriff’s Capt. Robert Newton responded to an area in Pierce County ending with the arrest of Mortier.

• Possession of Methamphetamine, Obstruction/Hindering Law Enforcement Officers, Public Drunkenness: Tiffany Wonice Reeves, a 35-yearold white female, was arrested Friday, October 24 and charged with Obstruction/ Hindering Law Enforcement Officers and Public Drunkenness.

Pierce County Sheriff’s ACE Unit Investigator Nettles responded to an area in Pierce County resulting in the arrest.
