Ticket purchases include a seafood buffet dinner and Ducks Unlimited membership.

There will be live and silent auctions, along with numerous raffles for hunting, fishing and other sports items.

Contact Pat Reid at (912) 2822620 or Roger Collins at 548-4585 for more information.

The Okefenokee chapter is in its 51st year. Ducks Unlimited got its start in 1937 during the Dust Bowl when North America’s droughtplagued waterfowl populations had plunged to unp recedented lows.

A small group of conservationists who realized that the majority of North America's waterfowl breed in the Canadian prairies, organized to raise money in the United States for waterfowl conservation in Canada.

Ducks Unlimited conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America's waterfowl.

These habitats also benefit other wildlife and people.

Waterfowl conservation is facing important challenges as wetlands and other habitats are being degraded and destroyed across the continent.

Membership in the organization operates with a grassroots, volunteer- based model and D U, Inc. is technically qualified as tax exempt under section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
