Second Baptist Church, 301 Tomberlin Road, will again be the collection point for Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes.
The National Collection Week for the program is Monday, November 17 through Monday, November 24.
Schedule for Second Baptist’s collection is:
• November 17, 19, and 21, 10 a.m.-noon;
• November 18 and 20, 5-7 p.m.;
• November 22, 9-11 p.m.;
• November 23, 2-4 p.m.;
• November 24, 7-9 a.m. Shoeboxes are dropped off under the church’s shelter at the Fellowship Hall. To access that area, use the driveway on the right side of the main building.
Locally, area churches and individuals dropped off 2,691 showboxes last year. From here, the gift boxes of small personal items and toiletries go to a collection point for the state to be sent around the globe to those less fortunate.
