Youmans Chapel concludes revival Youmans Chapel Baptist Church, 3497 Dean Still Road, concludes its revival today (Wednesday, November 5).

Closing service will be at 6 p.m. with Brother Randy Aldridge from Hillcrest Baptist Church in Virginia the featured speaker.

Brother Aldridge accepted Jesus at his Savior in 1960 at Hacklebarney Baptist Church. Jimmy Thrift is YCB pastor.

HTF, Inc., founder to speak to Aglow Hooves to Freedom, Inc. founder Hillary Cooler will be the guest speaker at the Waycross Aglow Lighthouse worship at 10 a.m. Saturday, November 8 at at Our Beloved Church, 1700 Osceola Avenue.

The Waycross resident initiated the ministry in Blackshear that offers bibl ically based equine assisted act ivities and therapy for those age 8 to 108 with behavioral, cognitive, and mental disabilities. HTF also offers specific programs for those walking through grief, survivors of trauma, helping families find a solid foundation and many more needs.

Cooler is part of the worship team at Waycross First Assembly.

Sallet’s meal for homeless Nov. 21 The Sallet family will offer its annual Thanksgiving meal for the homeless from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Friday, November 21.

The meal of a meat, sides and beverage will be available for carryout at 818 Summit Street. There will be tables and chairs under tents on the home’s lawn for those who want to eat on site.

Antioch Baptist celebrates pastor

Historic First African (Antioch) Baptist Church, 615 Knight Avenue, celebrates the 13th pastoral anniversary of Raymond C. Williams Sr. and Lady Shirley Williams with a special service at 3 p.m. Sunday, November 16.

Pastor Allen Dasher of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church and his congregation will present the program. Theme is “Great Is Thy Faithfulness.”

Comfort Chapel has Homecoming Comfort Chapel Primitive Baptist Church, 600 Cherokee Circle, holds its annual meeting Friday-Sunday, November 7-9.

Elder Terry Barnard, pastor of Thomasville (Ga.) Primitive Baptist Church, will be speaker. Worship services will be at 7 p.m. November 7-8 and 11 a.m. November 9.

The Sunday service will celebrate the church’s 25th annual Homecoming. Elder Jason Deal is Primitive Baptist pastor.

Gaines Chapel sets Homecoming

Gaines Chapel AME Church, 801 South Georgia Parkway East, celebrates its 156th Homecoming/Anniversary with a special service at 3 p.m., Sunday, November 23.

Greater St. Paul Harvest program Greater St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, 1110 Pittman Street observes its annual Harvest Celebration this weekend with a picnic and special worship service.

The event begins with a picnic Saturday afternoon November 8, weather permitting. The worship will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, November 9. Church pastor is Darren Jackson,

Austin Chapel sets family, friends day Austin Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 508 Hamilton Street, holds its annual Family and Friends Day Sunday, November 30.

The Rev. Dr. Antony Davis is church pastor.

DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
