
Waters
Tyler Lee Waters, 27, of Glennville, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2025, after facing several health challenges.
He was born March 30, 1998, in Savannah, to Scott and Kerry Waters. From an early age, he was known for his kindness, unwavering loyalty and strong sense of character. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him with his gentle spirit and generous heart.
A 2016 graduate of Tattnall County High School, he went on to earn a fish and wildlife technician diploma from Ogeechee Technical College. He had a deep love for wildlife and a special bond with his beloved dogs, Ranger and Dave, who were constant companions and a great source of joy in his life. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Being in the woods is where he felt closest to God and most at peace.
He was a great-grandson of John Henry and Louise Jones Justice and greatgreat- grandson of Edward Benjamin “E.B.” Sr. and Georgia Lee Jones.
Survivors include his parents, Scott and Kerry Waters; his brother and sister-in-law, Will and Rebekah Waters; his maternal grandmother, Nancy Justice Wilson; his maternal grandfather, Joel Williams; his paternal grandparents, Hal and Shirley Waters and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and close friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts.
A celebration of his life was held at 7 p.m.Tuesday, Oct. 28, from the chapel of Glennville Funeral Home with the Rev. Jerome Davis and Elder Jason Deal officiating and a eulogy by Tyler’s uncle, Delbert Bland.
Musical selections included “Scars In Heaven” by Casting Crowns, “Save the Roses” by Lee Brice “Finally at Peace’ by Jelly Roll and “Bury Me in Bottom Land” by Hardy.
Interment followed Wednesday morning, Oct. 29 in the Pineview Baptist Church Cemetery in Tattnall County.
Active pallbearers were Spencer McGovern, Lee Bugajski, Glen Boyd, Cody Crummey, Keith Haag and Noah Mobley.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to a charity dear to Tyler’s heart—Peggy Anderson’s Pet Rescue Fund at Ringer Veterinary Hospital, P.O. Box 280 Reidsville, GA 30453.
