The Exchange Club of Blackshear proudly recognized Pierce High School senior JC Nimmer as the September student of the month for his outstanding character, leadership and academic excellence.

Nimmer was selected for his hard work, kindness and positive influence on others. He is a true example of leadership and character, both in and out of the classroom. A member of the First Southern Bank Junior Board of Directors, Nimmer also serves on the student council and is a member of Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA). He was on the Hospice Satilla Junior Board of Directors during his junior year. Nimmer was selected by his classmates as Best All Around.

An accomplished athlete, Nimmer played on the tennis team all four years of high school, winning a state championship his junior year. He attends Emmanuel Baptist Church where he is involved in the youth choir, adult choir, praise team and part of the ensemble “His Image”.

After graduation, Nimmer plans to study biology and pursue a pre-med, in hopes of becoming a doctor and returning home to serve his community.

Nimmer attended the Exchange Club meeting with his parents, Amy Nimmer and Chad Nimmer, and his favorite teacher Becky King. JC Nimmer introduced King with gratitude, saying she was always wiling to help him when needed and she has made a lasting impact on him.

King spoke highly of JC, describing him as polite, hardworking and caring. She praised his academic performance, saying his schoolwork was always exceptional. “Every teacher has those students who stand out because of their great qualities,” King said. “JC has been the standout student of my career.”

JC Nimmer was presented with a plaque by Exchange Club President, Stacey Thrift on behalf of the club. The Exchange Club of Blackshear congratulates JC Nimmer on all of his accomplishments.

“We can’t wait to see the amazing things he will do in the future, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors,” says Thrift.
