A group of approximately 100 gathered Saturday, Oct. 18 for the No Kings 2 rally in Waycross. Hosted locally by the Satilla Democrats group, the demonstration was part of the nationwide No Kings event attended by approximately 8 million people. Following a trend seen in other protests which first gained popularity in Portland, some of the protesters wore inflatable animal costumes to the event. The Satilla Democrats describe themselves as an inclusive, regional organization, welcoming members from nearby counties, including several from Pierce.
