Waycross High School Class of ‘58 meets

Members of the 1958 class of Waycross High School enjoyed a fellowship at LL Creek which focused on helping others and saying farewell to classmate Beth Herrin McClelland. While chatting and enjoying a great meal, the classmates decided to help others by donating their final treasury amount to Okefenokee Alliance for the Homeless. “We previously donated our monies to this great organization and feel led to continue our thinking of these wonderful people,” said McClelland. She will move this month to Savannah to be near her children. For many years, she has been a leader in her church Waycross First Baptist and in her community. So many appreciate her years of teaching in the Waycross School System. Pictured above are classmates (l-r) Vera Scarborough Smith, Beth Herrin McClelland, Nickie Carswell Carter, Theresa Shuman, Emily Hendry Aguirre, Kathryn Rachels Fowler and class friend (‘58 graduate) Joanne Parker Lipp.
