ATHENS — Brantley County Board of Education Superintendent Dr. Kim Morgan has been named one of four finalists for the Georgia Superintendent of the Year for the second year in a row.
The Georgia School Superintendents Association (GSSA) made the announcem ent during its Fall Boots trap Conference held at the Classic Center in Athens October 22-23, 2025.
Dr. Morgan, who has served as Superintendent for Brantley County Schools for 10 years, is a 32-year veteran educator, born and raised in Brantley County. She has devoted her entire career to serving students, staff and community.
Dr. Morgan was nominated by her colleagues for the prestigious honor and is being recognized for her exceptional leadership, integrity and love for those she serves.
This is the second year in a row Dr. Morgan has been named a GSSA Finalist, a reflection of her dedicated leadership and the strong collaboration between the Superintendent and the Brantley County Board of Education in ensuring success for every student, every day.
The sole finalist for the Georgia Superintendent of the Year will be announced at the GSBA/GSSA Annual Conference in December.
