WAYCROSS — Mrs. Ann Henderson Dell, 85, passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at her residence in Waycross surrounded by friends and family following an extended
illness.

Mrs. Dell was born in Eldorendo, Ga., to the late Jack Hend erson and Altha Martin Henderson. She was a homemaker for most of her life and a member of Winona Park United Methodist Church.
It was often said that her love language was gathering her family together and feeding them — she simply loved cooking for those she loved. In her spare time, Mrs. Dell enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers. She was deeply loved by her family and well respected in her community.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Dell was preceded in death by her husband, Emory “Dink” Earl Dell; two brothers, Frank Eugene Henderson and John Wayne Henderson.
She is survived by her two daughters, Vickie Dell Ratliff (Brent) of Blackshear and Harriet Dell Mixon (Lewis) of Waycross; three grandchildren, Brittany Mixon Ragan (James) of Patterson, Eldon Lewis Mixon III (Cintia) of Waycross and Brandon Dell Ratliff of Blackshear; two great grandchildren, Rosanna Ragan and Bethany Ragan; a special cousin, Jim Wainright of Hoboken; her beloved caretaker, Vivian Reid of Waycross; neighbors, Beth Steverson and Lana Minchew; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff of Hospice Satilla and Amedisys for the exceptional care, compassion, and support shown to Mrs. Dell and her family during her illness. Their kindness brought great comfort in her final days.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in her honor to Hospice Satilla, 808 Evergreen Way, Waycross, GA 31501.
