HOMERVILLE — Mr. John Thomas Underwood, 67, died Thursday evening, October 30, 2025 at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta.
Underwood was born July 19, 1958 in Homerville to the late John Thomas Underwood, Sr. and Jennelle Mills Underwood. He was a farmer with Hurricane Creek Farm.
In addition to his parents, Underwood was also preceded in death by a son, John William Underwood; and a nephew, Wilson Prescott.
He is survived by his children, Shawn Underwood (Colleen) of Homerville, Cheyenne Underwood of Douglas and William Tinajero (Ashley); a daughter-in-law, Meghan Underwood of Hoboken; his grandchildren, AvaLeigh Underwood Burrier (Christian), Collin Ford Underwood, Joshua Thomas Underwood, Madison Grace Underwood, Shelby Underwood, Skylar Underwood, Olivia Underwood, Renesmee and Neveah Underwood, and Laura Tinajero; an expected great grandchild; two siblings, Debbie Underwood Bennett (Curtis) of Homerville and David Lee Underwood of Blackshear; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
