Linda Gail Wolfe Murray, 74, of Blackshear, passed away early Friday morning, October 31, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health in Waycross, following an extended illness.
Born October 5, 1951, in Baxley, she was a daughter of the late Benjamine L. and Verdie O’Bright Wolfe. She lived all her life in Appling and Pierce Counties and had been a longtime homemaker. She was a member of The Church of God in Millwood.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Eason; three brothers, Robert Wolfe, Benjamine Wolfe and Larry Wolfe and special friends, John and Sally Strickland and daughter, Rhonda.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Claudie Murray, Blackshear; three children, Chris Murray, Crystal Sweat (husband David), and Ron Murray (wife Nina), all of Blackshear; five grandchildren, Matthew Murray ( and his mother, Jackie Griner), Brittany Head, Peanut Head, Alexis Sweat, Cash Murray and Addi Grace Murray; sister, Jeanette Beckworth, Baxley; and special friends, Mona Cisneros and Jodie Dixon, both of Blackshear and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov 3, from the chapel of Hart Funeral Home.
Interment will follow in the Big Creek Cemetery.
