Pierce County High School FFA won first place at the Georgia National Fair Forestry Contest on October 7. The members competed individually in identifying 70 tree identification samples. Each individual score is tallied for the total team score. Team members (l-r) included Riley Thomas, Jesse Crews (second place individual), Sam Chesser (first place overall individual), Coleman Lee and Alison Denison (tenth place individual). Members also receive individual and team cash awards from the fair.
