Walker Jones Automotive’s Trunk or Treat is Oct. 30 Walker Jones Automotive, 2700 Memorial Drive, will hold Trunk or Treat from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m., Thursday, October 30 at its Chevrolet building.
The dealers sweetest rides will be loaded with trunks full of candy for the afternoon of seasonal fun. A costume contest will be included in the event so come in your best Halloween attire.
Prizes will be given to best kids costume, best kids group costume, most creative, and best pet costume.
‘Little Satilla’ band playing at ‘Okefenokee Opry’ Oct. 30 The “Okefenokee Opry” featuring “Little Satilla” band will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday October 30 at Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Swamp Park Road.
This special event is event is sponsored by the Okefenokee Heritage Center, the Okefenokee Swamp Park, and the Waycross Convention & Visitors Bureau. It is being held in conjunction with “Swamptacular,” which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $15, which includes the concert.

Ware Co. Rec. Dept. holding a senior dance November 8 The Ware County Recreation Department will stage a senior dance from 7 to 10 p.m., Saturday, November 8 at the Trembling Earth Complex, 2110 Cecil Brown Drive.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Admission is $7 per person. There will be door prizes, light refreshments, and DJ Fred Hand playing all the oldies.

OHC writer’s group releases new schedule for meetings The Okefenokee Heritage Center’s OHC Writers has a new meeting schedule.
Meetings will be from 4 to 6 p.m the third Tuesday of each month at 1460 N. Augusta Avenue.
