BRUNSWICK — Kay Stokes, 63 of Brunswick, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2025, at her residence under the care of Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Mrs. Stokes was born September 4, 1962 in Corpus Christi, Texas to B.J. and Barbara Bontrager Stokes.
She had lived in Brunswick for the past 56 years attending Glynn County Schools and graduating with the Class of 1980 from Glynn Academy.
Mrs. Stokes was employed as the Billing Specialist with Golden Isles Family Health Care, where she had worked for the past 10 years.
Mrs. Stokes was full of zest and lived life to the fullest. She was an avid Barrel Racer and was a member of Diamond Bar D Saddle Club.
Survivors include her children, Brittany Benjamin (David) of Nahunta and Jason Waters (Lauren) of Springfield, Ga.; siblings, David Stokes and John Stokes, both of Brunswick, and Suzy Nasholds (Reid) of North Carolina; grandchildren, Madison Waters, Emerson Waters, Kierson Waters, Maddox Waters and Trey Benjamin.
Services to celebrate Mrs. Stokes’ life are pending at this time.
