BRUNSWICK – Southeast Georgia Health System is pleased to welcome Aleem Ali, MD, to Southeast Georgia Physician Associates–Gastroenterology, located in the Outpatient Care Center on the Brunswick Campus.
Ali joins the Health System with extensive training and experience in the field of gastroenterology and internal medicine, bringing a strong clinical background and a passion for patient-centered care. He is now accepting new patients.
Originally from Trinidad and Tobago, Ali earned his medical degree from The University of the West Indies and completed clinical training at Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex and Port-of-Spain General Hospital. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Florida College of Medicine–Jacksonville, where he received numerous honors, including the Outstanding Senior Resident Award, Malcolm T. Foster Scholarship Award and Resident Advocate Award.
Ali is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Gastroenterology, American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American Gastroenterological Association.
In addition to his clinical practice, Ali is an accomplished medical researcher and author, with more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and numerous abstracts and poster presentations at national and international medical conferences. His academic work spans a broad spectrum of topics in gastroenterology, internal medicine and infectious disease.
