Host Pierce County Middle School’s Lady Bears (left) and Bears (right) swept the Southeast Georgia Middle School Athletic Conference crosscountry meet. Both squads placed four runners in the Top 10. The Lady Bears were led by Jaciee Neal’s (14:31) third-place finish in the field of 39 runners. Khlare Hewatt (15:32) was sixth, Harlee Henderson (15:35) placed seventh and Kalee Carpenter (16:02) finished ninth. The Bears’ Paxton Cochran (13:35), Brooks Roberson (13:38) and Nate Carlson (13:42) finished sixth, seventh and eighth respectively in the field of 45 participants. Matthew Stone (13:51.02) placed 10th. Also running were Cam Yeomans (13:51.53), Joshua McFarland (13:53) and Reed Benett (14:03).
