Memorial Satilla Health in partnership with Ware County Sheriff’s Office and the YMCA of Waycross will host Crush the Crisis, a national prescription drug takeback day, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m Saturday, October 25 at the YMCA, 1634 Plant Avenue in Waycross.
WCSO advisers citizens to keep unwanted medication out of the wrong hands by turning in unused Accepted items include: tablets or capsules in any packaging, patches, medicated ointments, lotions or drops, as well as liquid medications (in leak-proof containers), vape cartridges (without batteries) and pet medications.
Items that are not accepted include needles, syringes, lancets and illegal drugs.
