I’m a proud 12th-grade senior 4-H’er My journey in 4-H has truly transformed me and made me *beyond ready* for life. When I first joined, I wasn’t confident speaking in front of others — in fact, I was nervous and very self-conscious. But through DPA and other 4H activities, I learned to step out of my comfort zone, share my voice, and believe in myself.
Serving on the poultry judging team and the Cotton Bowl Consumer Judging Team taught me teamwork, patience, and dedication. Attending State Congress was also an unforgettable experience that inspired my growing passion for history. Learning how the past shapes our future has encouraged me to keep exploring, learning, and dreaming bigger.
I’ve also been fortunate to attend several 4-H camps and conferences, where I’ve built lifelong friendships, strengthened my leadership skills, and gained the confidence to take on any challenge. Each experience has helped me grow not only as a 4-H member but as a person.
Because of 4-H, I am more confident, capable, and motivated to make a positive difference in my community. My experiences have even inspired my future goal — to one day work at the National History Museum, sharing stories of the past and helping others connect with the history that shapes us all.
4-H has helped me become the best version of myself, and I can proudly say that I am truly beyond ready for whatever comes next.
