HOBOKEN — Mrs. Cynthia Griffin Lee, 58, of Hoboken, died Sunday morning, October 5, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health after a brief illness.
She was born in Rock Hill, S.C., to the late James Britt Griffin and Nora Gwatney Griffin. A 1985 graduate of Brantl e y County High School, Mrs. Lee had made Brantley County her home for most of her life.
Mrs. Lee worked for more than 20 years as Licensed Practical Nurse for Folkston Park Nursing Home, Bayview Nursing Home, Waycross Health and Rehabilitation Center and Charlton Visiting Nurses. Most recently, she was working on behalf of military veterans as a benefit specialist.
Mrs. Lee was an active member of Hoboken Baptist Church. She loved her family and cherished each moment she was able to spend with them. She will forever be remembered for her selfless spirit and a life spent serving others.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, John Gebhart and her sister, Meloni Simpson.
Mrs. Lee is survived by her husband of 40 years, James E. Lee of Hoboken; two sons, Scotty Lee and his wife, Reba, of Hoboken, Cole Lee and his wife, Lindsey, of Waynesville; three grandchildren, Jason Still, Mason Still, and Lily Lee; one sister, Deanna Jones of Columbus, Ohio; one brother, Britt Griffin and his wife, Jennifer, of Cherryville, N.C.; one brother-in-law, Archie Simpson of Waycross; one sister-in-law, Judy Gebhart of Waycross; along with numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A funeral service was held Friday at Hoboken Baptist Church.
