Southside Baptist Church homecoming is Sun., Oct. 19 NAHUNTA — Southside Baptist Church will celebrate its 33rd Homecoming Sunday, October 19 at 10:45 a.m.
A homecoming fellowship meal will follow the morning worship services.
Pastor Phillip Cochran will be the speaker for Homecoming services.

Waynesville VFD’s holding a Haunted House Oct. 23-26 WAYNESVILLE — The Waynesville Volunteer Fire Department Station 4 will host a Haunted House beginning Thursday, October 23 through Sunday, October 26 from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
Admission is $8 for adults and $5 for children. There will be carnival games for the children. Cotton candy, popcorn, hotdogs and lemonade will be sold.
Waynesville VFD to begin hosting Turkey Shoots each weekend WAYNESVILLE — The Waynesville Volunteer Fire Department will be holding a Turkey Shoot every Friday and Saturday night at Waynesville State 3 beginning Friday, October 3 and Saturday, October 4.
The cost is $3 per shot and concessions are available.
Griffin family reunion is slated for Sunday, Oct. 26 HOBOKEN — Descendants of Manning and Charlotte Griffin will hold their annual family reunion Sunday, October 26 at Hoboken Elementary School, 224 Church Street.
Doors will open at noon with lunch in the cafeteria at 12:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a covered dish and drink.

City of Nahunta Trunk or Treat is Thursday, Oct. 30 NAHUNTA — The City of Nahunta will be holding a county-side Trunk or Treat Thursday, October 30 from 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
The event will be held at 9911 Main Street North.
