BLACKSHEAR – William Eugene Ward, 50, of Blackshear passed away Sunday evening, October 5, 2025 at HCA Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, Fla., after a brief illness.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., Ward’s parents are Dorothy Howard Roberts and the late Steven Ward. He is also preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Eugene and Mary Howard.
Ward was an auditor for Circle K and Parker’s and served in the United States Navy. He loved art, drawing and painting.
Survivors include his mother, Dot Howard of Blackshear; his life partner, Randy Conner of Blackshear; his brother and sister-in-law, Marc Ward (Jennifer) of White Oak; two nieces, Alanna Ward and Skyler Ward of White Oak; two nephews, Denver Chavarria of White Oak and Devin Strickland (Brittany) of Hoboken; two great nieces, Dakota Strickland and Libby Strickland of Hoboken; and also a host of friends.
There will be no services at this time.
