Tomlinson
Mr. Wayne Lamar Tomlinson, 65, passed away Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at River Brook Healthcare Center in Homerville, following an extended illness.
Born in Duval County, Fla., Tomlinson was the son of the late Wallace Arnold Tomlinson and Frankie Purvis Tomlinson.
He was formerly employed with Swisher before the company’s move to Jacksonville. Most recently Tomlinson worked with the Georgia Department of Corrections as a corrections officer.
He was a member of Kettle Creek Church.
In his spare time, Tomlinson enjoyed spending days at the beach and fishing with his family — two of his favorite pastimes.
Survivors include his son, Levin Tomlinson (Kristi Smith) of Ludowici; three grandchildren, Lane Tomlinson, Archer Tomlinson, and Oakleigh Tomlinson; four siblings, Wallace Tomlinson (Kim) of Hoboken, Steve Tomlinson of Waycross, Francine King (Chris) of Waycross and LaTrelle Courson Tomlinson of Waycross; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorialization will be by cremation.
Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
