BRUNSWICK — Glenda “Midge” Dianne Stewart Hale, 79, was born November 12, 1945 in Alma and died peacefully at home surrounded by her family October 7, 2025 in Brunswick.
She was the daughter of Troy S. Stewart and Delores Sapp Stewart Hail.
Mrs. Hale married James Ron Hale March 18, 1963 in Brunswick. She had three daughters, Dina (Charles) Cutforth of Brunswick, Debra Hale of Brunswick and Donna (Glenn) Brogdon of Waynesville; as well as seven grandchildren, Ren (Megan) Hale of Tallahassee, Fla., Austin Lipthratt and Emily of Bunnell, Fla., Jay Jones and Madison of Waynesville, Chase Cutforth of Atlanta, Camron Cutforth of Atlanta, Abby Pruitt and Kyle of Waynesville, Harlan Pruitt and Ally of Waynesville and Ashlee (Zach) Herndon of Waycross; one great grandchild, Aedyn Deese of Waycross.
Mrs. Hale’s early life was spent in Alma before moving to Brunswick, where she attended Glynn Academy High School. It was at Glynn Academy where she met the man that would change the trajectory of her life forever.
She met Ronnie Hale and he proved to be the love of her life. Mrs. Hale left school before graduating to marry Ronnie before he left for the military.
Mrs. Hale later received her GED and then attended Brunswick Junior College for secretarial courses. She began a long and fulfilling career as the Principal’s Secretary at Burroughs-Molette Elementary School.
Mrs. Hale was predeceased by her parents; her sister, Lawanda Stewart; and her brother, Troy Stewart.
Survivors include her husband, Ron; her daughters and grandchildren; her sister Nancy Strickland of Brunswick; her brother, William “Billy” Hail of Newnan, Ga.; two special cousins, Elaine Brinson and Evelyn Barrentine, both of Brunswick; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
Mrs. Hale was an active member of Christian Renewal Church. She was a member of Glynn Republican Women’s Group and Golden Isles Retired Educators serving on various committees and offices.
Mrs. Hale had a love of travel. She enjoyed the many trips with the Mickey Wendel travel group and looked forward to the adventures.
A funeral services was held Friday, October 10, 2025 at Christian Renewal Church.
A small graveside service followed at Palmetto Cemetery on Ross Road.

The family would like to thank Heartland Hospice, Dr. Moran, Dr. Clay and their staffs for their support and caring.
