Ware County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are pursing leads on a robbery early Sunday morning at a 24-hour business in Ware County, Major Neil Skerratt said Monday.
The incident occurred about 2:43 a.m. at a business in the 2400 block of Albany Avenue. A female clerk was not harmed in the robbery, Skerratt said.
Patrol Deputy Judah Hodges responded to the location of the business in reference to a report of a robbery. The clerk was able to provide a description of the suspect to Hodges.
She told authorities the items taken were personal in nature. The clerk said her purse containing a wallet and various other personal items was stolen during the robbery.
There were no items taken from the store, authorities said.
Detectives from WCSO’s Crime Investigation Division and the K9 unit also responded to the scene.
