NASHVILLE — Brantley County High School’s Heron Pride Band captured four Superior honors and four first-place trophies here Saturday at the Rebel Regiment Showcase at Berrien High School.
“They absolutely performed their hearts out,” said Band Director Noah Jackson. “They were exhausted from a late (Friday) night (performing at the Fitzgerald game) and an early morning (departure).
“The amount of talent in this group is unprecedented. The work ethic is incredible. (That’s) a deadly combo for sure. It’s hard to put into words how incredible this is.”
The four Superior ratings were for band, drum majors, percussion and Auxiliary during the October 4 event.
In Class results, the Heron Pride Band won first-place in band, percussion, drum majors and auxiliary.
BCHS finished third overall against the field which included bigger schools. The drum majors finished second overall.
