John Philip Roberts, Sr.

BRUNSWICK — John Philip Roberts, Sr., 46 of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday, October 1, 2025.

Roberts was born January 21, 1979, in Brunswick to Sidney Philip Roberts, Jr. and Wanda Sue Rowell Roberts. He had lived in Brunswick all of his life and was a 1997 graduate of Brunswick High School, where he played football as a Brunswick High Pirate number 65.

Roberts went to work at Sossner Tap and Tool right after graduating High School workING there until its closing in 2002. He then went to work at Victory Tools, followed by Diversified Erectors. In 2020, Roberts began working for K Machine Industrial Services where he remained employed until his death.

He attended St. Simons Community Church and was an avid Miami Dolphin and Georgia Bulldog football fan. He loved traveling, fishing, hunting, and playing golf.

Roberts is survived by his parents, Philip Roberts, Jr. (JoAnn) of Waynesville and Sue Roberts (Henry Harrison) of Brunswick; the mother of his children, Jeannie Roberts of Brunswick; children, Abigail Roberts, Simon Roberts, Katelynn Parland (Jaylen), John Roberts, Jr., and Geraldine Baldwin (Alex), all of Brunswick; a brother, Dustin Roberts (Kelly) of Brunswick; grandchildren, Keiyari Parland, Jaylen Parland, Jr., Shaun Roberts, Avery Baldwin and Kyrie Baldwin; nieces and nephews, Dani Marie Farmer, Shianne Siford and Langston Roberts; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service was held from the graveside at Taylors Methodist Church Cemetery, Tuesday, October 7, 2025, with Pastor Todd Roberts officiating.

Chapman Funeral Chapel & Creamatory was in charge of arrangements.
