Victory Methodist sets Homecoming 

Victory Methodist Church, 5062 Booth Church Road in Manor, will hold a Homecoming celebration and stage a revival beginning this weekend and continuing into next week.

The church has scheduled a special worship program with guest speaker Dr. John Powell at 10:30 a.m. Sunday, October 5 to celebrate its 181 years of ministry in Manor.

Dinner in the family center will follow the service .

A revival will be held Monday-Wednesday, October 6-8 with Dr. Powell serving a guest evangelist. Worship times are 7 p.m. each day.

DC Downtown has food ministry 

DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Shiloh celebrates 119th anniversary 

Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 1701 Martin Luther King Drive, will celebrate its 119th anniversary with special services Tuesday-Thursday, October 7-9 and Sunday, October 12.

Numerous community churches will appear on the program. Preachers delivering sermons for the celebration include: Bishop Dr. Michael-Angelo James, October 7; Bishop Albert Bussey , October 8; the Rev. Jackie Hooper, October 9; and the Rev. Gerald Robinson, October 12.

The weekday services begin at 7 p.m. and the closing program on October 12 at 11 a.m. The Rev. Allen Alonzo Dasher is Shiloh pastor.

Austin Chapel sets family, friends day 

Austin Chapel Christian Methodist Episcopal Church, 508 Hamilton Street, holds its annual Family and Friends Day Sunday, November 30.

The Rev. Dr. Antony Davis is church pastor.

River of Life starts resource program

 River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.

The River Missions program will offer practical life skills, hot meals, clothing and more. Next session is October 24.

Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway 

Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.

People should bring a bag or box for items. The first-come, first-served giveaway will next be held October 4.

Men With Power meets 1st Saturday 

Men With Power meets the first Saturday of each month at Faith Outreach Ministries, 200 Tebeau Street.

Feed My Sheep seeks donations 

Peter Feed My Sheep food ministry is accepting donations for its meal program for the homeless.

In addition to the holiday meals, the outreach provides clothing and personal hygiene items to the needy.

Donations are accepted with checks payable to Peter Feed My Sheep and sent to 613 Sweat Street, Waycross, 31501, or with Cash App, $peterfeed mysheep.
