Ware County ended a six-game losing streak with a sweep of a doubleheader at Warner Robins capping a three-game region slate of action.
The Lady Gators (6-16 overall, 2-3 Region 1AAAA) suffered a 10-7 loss to Perry (5-10, 2-2) Tuesday, September 23. The victory completed the series sweep for the Lady Panthers following a 6-2 home win September 9.
Ware County overpowered Warner Robins Thursday, September 25 with a doubleheader sweep winning 13-3 in six innings in the opener and 22-2 in three innings in the finale.
The Lady Gators have four games on the slate for the next to last week of the regular season. They traveled Monday, September 29 to Brantley County, hosted Wayne County in a region matchup Tuesday, September 30 and go to Charlton County Thursday, October 2 for a doubleheader.
Ware County closes out the regular season hosting Coffee Monday, October 6 and finishes Tuesday, October 7 at Tattnall County.

Perry pulled away from a 4-all tie outscoring the Lady Gators 6-3 over the final three innings for the win.
The Lady Panthers banged out 15 hits against Kayleigh LeMay (5.2 IP, 12 H, 8 R, 5 ER, 3 K, 1 BB, 1 HBP) and Mattie Forsyth (1.1 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 K, 0 BB).
Perry scored the first four runs of the game plating one in the first inning and three in the third for a 4-0 lead. Ware County committed three of its eight errors in the opening frame leading to an unearned run.
The Lady Panthers opened the third with four consecutive base hits scoring two runs. A one-out groundout chased home the third run for the four-run margin.
Ware County left Ella Musgrove (3-for-4) stranded in the first inning following a leadoff double. Forsyth (1-for-4) was left standing at second after a leadoff single in the second.
The Lady Gators were unable to score after loading the bases in the third inning. Ashlyn Jacobs (2-for-4) kept the inning alive with a twoout, infield hit. A nine-pitch walk to Amberley Padgett (1-for-2) was followed by Kallie Lairsey (1-for-4) reaching on an infield hit to load the bases.
Ware County broke through in the bottom of the fourth tying the game with a four-run uprising. LeMay (1-for-4) lined a one-out, first-pitch single and moved to second on a groundout.
Two consecutive run-scoring singles by Cassidy Lee (2-for-4) and Musgrove closed the deficit to 4-2 was followed by a Jacobs single. Musgrove each took an extra base on a miscue. Both runners scored on Padgett’s bloop single to center knotting the score at 4-apiece.
Perry scored two runs in each of of the final three innings. The fifth inning runs came on a two-out single. Consecutive two-out triples and a single scored the sixth inning runs as the Lady Panthers doubled up Ware County 8-4.
The Lady Gators cut the deficit in half to 8-6 in the bottom of the sixth getting a Lee leadoff single and a run-scoring double by Musgrove, who scored the second run on Padgett’s one-out sacrifice fly.
The Lady Panthers added two insurance runs in the seventh on a one-out fielder’s choice groundout and run-scoring single.
Ware County plated a run in the bottom of the inning. Kara Coleman (1-for-3) lined a one-out single, moved to second on a two-out wild pitch, and scored on Addi Pittman’s (1-for-4) base hit.

WARNER ROBINS — The Lady Gators scored nine runs over the fifth ad sixth innings to pull away from a 4-3 lead to beat Warner Robins.
Ware County scored four times in the first inning without a hit or defensive error and never trailed with the Lady Demons getting as close as 4-3 in the third inning. LeMay scattered six hits across six innings of work, She fanned five, walked one.
Musgrove and Jacobs (1-for-1) were each hit by a pitch to start the game. Musgrove, who around to third on a pair of passed balls before Jacobs was hit, scored the first run on Padgett’s sacrifice fly.
Jacobs, who stole second and moved to third on the sac fly, scored on a wild pitch, one of 10 by the Lady Demons, ahead of Lairsey (1for-3) getting hit by a pitch. Courtesy runner Maggie McQuaig raced around the bases to score on consecutive wild pitches for a 3-0 lead.
Forsyth (2-for-3) walked, advanced to second on a wild pitch and third on a passed ball. She scored on Coleman’s (2-for-3) sacrifice fly.
Warner Robins scored twice in the second on a two-run double and once in the third on a two-out double to close the margin to 4-3.
The Lady Gators stretched the lead to 8-3 with a four-run fifth. Jacobs scored on a wild pitch, Padgett raced home on Forsyth’s groundout, McQuaig scored on Coleman’s single. Coleman moved to third on a passed ball and error and raced home on a wild pitch.
Ware County scored five runs in the sixth. Lee and Jacobs each scored on wild pitches, Forsyth hit a run-scoring double, Coleman followed with an RBI single, Teriayn Kirkland delivered a run-scoring triple.

WARNER ROBINS — Ware County exploded for 15 runs in the first inning en route to 20-run decision in the finale.
The Lady Gators sent 19 batters to the plate with the first 18 reaching. Ware County mercifully ended the inning having two base runners step off the bags early with the third out coming on an appeal for leaving early.
Ware County drew six walks, had two batters hit, collected five singles and a double with four others reaching on errors.
The Lady Gators scored four runs in the second and three in the third.
Warner Robins scored single runs in the first and second inning against Forsyth (2 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 K, 2 BB). Lee worked a 1-2-3 third inning.
Two Lady Demon pitchers combined to walk 11, hit three and uncork 11 wild pitches.
Forsyth led the Ware County attack going 3-for-3 (double, triple) with five ribbies. Musgrove and Jacobs each finished 2-for-2 with two RBI. Kirkland, Coleman (RBI) and LeMay (three runs batted in) collected a hit apiece.
