Griffin reunion slated Oct. 26 Descendants of Manning and Charlotte Griffin will hold their annual family reunion Sunday October 26 at Hoboken Elementary School, 224 Church Street.
Doors will open at noon with lunch in the cafeteria at 12:30 p.m. Attendees should bring a covered dish and drink.

Lee family holds reunion Oct. 5 The descendants of James F. Lee and Nancy Griffin Lee will hold their annual family reunion from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday October 5 at Hoboken Community Center, 294 Chicago Avenue.
A business meeting will be held at 12:15, followed by lunch at 12:30. Attendees should bring a covered dish and beverage. All other items will be provided.

Breast cancer focus of Oct. 2 reception Memorial Satilla Health celebrates Breast Cancer Awareness Month and survivor recognition during a reception at 6 p.m/, Thursday, October 2 in the hospital’s main lobby, 1900 Tebeau Street.
In addition to the reception and recognition program, the event will include guided tours of the hospital’s mamography suite, treatment updates from the medical team as well as refreshments and door prizes.

‘Okefenokee Opry’ scheduled Oct. 30 The “Okefenokee Opry” featuring “Little Satilla” band will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday October 30 at Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Swamp Park Road.
This special event is event is sponsored by the Okefenokee Heritage Center, the Okefenokee Swamp Park, and the Waycross Convention & Visitors Bureau. It is being held in conjunction with “Swamptacular,” which runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Admission is $15, which includes the concert.
Chairs will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

Swamp Park has Swamptacular Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Swamp Park Road, holds Swamptacular in conjunction with Halloween three weekends in October and November.
There will be candy zone, food trucks, ghost train ride, haunted islan maze, Monster Mash Dance zone and more from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly. Admission is $15 with tickets available at okeswamp.org.
