WAYCROSS – Sherry Ann Mora, 62 of Waycross, passed away Thursday, September 25, 2025 at Hospice House of Waycross.
Born in Laurinburg, N.C., Mrs. Mora’s mother is Mary Ellen Sharpe Fals of Brantley County and her father was the late Francis “Ernie” Ernest Fals. She is also preceded in death by a sister, Stephanie Marie Fals and an aunt, Eula Jean Higginbotham.
Mrs. Mora served in the United States Army and worked as a private investigator before she retired . She was a member of Kettle Creek Congregational Methodist Church.
Mrs. Mora loved decorating, kayaking, refurbishing furniture, and thrift shopping. She was a very sociable person and never met a stranger but most of all she loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-inlaw, Jerome Mora (Miharu) of Sandiago, Cal., and Rudy Mora (Carly) of Lake Park, Ga.; two grandchildren, Gabriel Mora and Zekeriah Mora; mother, Mary Ellen Fals of Brantley County; brother and sister-in-law, Wain Fals (Tracey) of Anniston, Ala.; sister, Donna Fals of Brantley County; also several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a host of friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
