Wampler
WAYCROSS – Paul Dean Wampler, 56, of Waycross passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at his residence after a brief illness.
Born in Portage, Wis., Wampler’s parents were Edwin Wampler and Anna Bonnett Wampler. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Marg aret Smith Wampler; a brother, Preston Wampler; and two nephews, Walter Goodyear, Jr. and James Wampler.
Wampler was a truckdriver who loved his family dearly. He loved riding his side-by-side, fishing, playing darts and cards, and watching the Greenbay Packers.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Owen Wampler (Jessica) of Waycross; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lynn Minnick (Mykle) and Erin Wampler of Waycross; five grandchildren, Brantlee Minnick, Braxton Minnick, Hailey Minnick, Cayden Wampler and Carson Wampler; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Phillip Wampler of Wisconsin, Perry Wampler (Debra) on Minn., Pete Wampler (Linda) and Penn Wampler all of Wisconsin; two sisters and a brotherin- law, Pat Thorne (Jon) of Oxford, Wis., and Pam Cook of Baraboo, Wis.; and also several other relatives and a host of friends.
A memorial service will be held Thursday morning, October 2, 2025 at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C.
