Memorial Satilla Health in partnership with Ware County Sheriff’s Office and the YMCA of Waycross will host Crush the Crisis, a national prescription drug takeback day, 10 a.m. – 2 p.m Saturday, October 25 at the YMCA, 1634 Plant Avenue in Waycross.
WCSO advisers citizens to keep unwanted medication out of the wrong hands by turning in unused or expired medications for safe disposal.
Accepted items include: tablets or capsules in any packaging, patches, medicated ointments, lotions or drops, as well as liquid medications (in leak-proof containers), vape cartridges (without batteries) and pet medications. Items that are not accepted include needles, syringes, lancets and illegal drugs.
