Netters fall twice at home

BEARVILLE — Pierce County dropped two of three home matches in a light work week.

The Lady Bears (16-17) hosted Brunswick and Region 3-AA mate Tattnall County Tuesday, September 23 garnering a split. PCHS fell 25-18, 2523 in the opener to the Lady Pirates.

Brunswick finished 3-0 against the Lady Bears posting a 2-0 victory August 9 in Bearville and a 20 decision August 28 at Lowndes.

Pierce County bounced back to sweep Tattnall 257, 25-3 in the nightcap. The Lady Bears captured the first two meetings against the Lady Warriors winning 2-0 August 12 at Brantley County and 2-0 September 13 at home.

PCHS wrapped up the week falling in a best-of-5 match Thursday, September 25 to Camden County. The Lady Wilcats rallied from a one set deficit to win 20-25, 25-20, 25-17, 25-20. Camden County won the first meeting 2-0 at home September 9.
