PCHS x-country teams run at Glynn Academy

BRUNSWICK — Both the Pierce County Lady Bears and Bears participated in 11-team meets at the College of Coastal Georgia in the Red Terror Run XC Invitational hosted by Glynn Academy.

The Thursday, September 25 girls’ meet consisted of host Glynn Academy, Frederica Academy, Brunswick, Camden County, St. Andrews School, Statesboro, Richmond Hill, Pierce County, Brantley County (three runners), McIntosh County Academy and Tattnall County with 112 participants.

No team results were posted for the girls.

The Lady Bears were paced by Nevaeh Grant’s 29th-place finish with a time of 24:25. The winning time was 19:48.60.

Grant was followed by Selah Griffis (37th; 25:12.90), Ana Llamas-Diaz (47th; 25:49.20), Baylee Rose Tippins (58th; 27:09.30), Rillie Depratter (64th; 27:36.30), Kimber Minchew (86th; 30:38.10), Myla Martinez (95th; 31:34.90) and Addison Folette (99th; 32:10.40).

Richmond Hill won the boys’ meet with 53 points. The Wildcats were followed by Camden County (79), Glynn Academy (87), Brunswick (102), Tattnall County (150), Brantley County (150), Frederica Academy (183), St. Andrews School (220), Statesboro (222), PCHS (234) and McIntosh County.

Brantley County’s Haze Evans captured the event posting a time of 17:25 winning by 17.5 seconds in the field of 148 runners.

The Bears were led by Brandon Yepes, who finished 29th with a time of 19:18.90. Yepes was followed by Breck Benton (42nd; 20:50.60), Samuel Carrillo (43rd; 20:05.70), Jared Watson (46th; 20:18.90), Coleman Lee (67th; 21:21.20), Jaxson Williams (99th; 23:97.70) and James Alonso (107th; 24:13.50).
