Swamp Park has Swamptacular Okefenokee Swamp Park, 5700 Swamp Park Road, holds Swamptacular in conjunction with Halloween three weekends in October and November.

There will be candy zone, food trucks, ghost train ride, haunted island maze, Monster Mash Dance zone and more from 6 to 9 p.m. nightly.

Admission is $15 with tickets available at okeswamp.org.

Dates will be Friday-Sunday, October 24-26, Thursday-Friday, October 30-31 and Saturday-Sunday November 1-2.

Coffee, community meetup Thursdays The Satilla Riverkeeper is sponsoring a coffee and community group meetup at 8 a.m. the second Thursday of every month at Laura S. Walker State Park.

Next meeting is October 9. Grab your favorite beverage and join others for a casual hike through the park.

It’s a perfect chance to connect with neighbors, enjoy the outdoors, and get moving with others.

There is a $5 parking fee at the park.

DWMA schedules special Halloween The Downtown Waycross Merchants Association (DWMA) will hold Trick-or-Treat among its businesses along with a community Trunk-or-Treat along the streets of dowtown from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, October 31.

Anyone interested in participating may register their trunk or set up a spot and be a part of the special evning.
