Trying to get pictures can be painful at times

Trying to get pictures can be painful at times

Two or three weeks ago, a long-time friend stopped by the house and told me he knew where I might be able to get some owl pictures.

He said it was not too far from my house. I was there bright and early the next morning and didn't see anything.

But, I did go back the next day and actually saw a pair of them before I even got out of the vehicle. My truck was having some issues, so I happened to be driving the car and had parked kind of sideways on a hill.

When I got out of the car I tried to catch the door without letting it slam shut so as not to make a lot of noise.

My thumb got caught in the door! Now here I am having to reopen the door to get it out before I can do any picture taking.

The whole time I think the owls were just sitting there watching and maybe even laughing at me. At least they waited around long enough for me to get a few pictures before they flew away.

I will trade a sore thumb for owl pictures most any day.

My 2026 calendars should be ready next week, I hope. I will have two different ones this year.

One will be the “Beauty of Nature” and the other will be “Old Barns & Houses”. They will be $20 each unless I have to mail them and then they will be $25 each.

My phone number is (912)288-0810 if interested.
