Pierce County Middle School swept homestanding Toombs County Middle School in a doubleheader Monday.
The “A” team Lady Bears won for the seventh time in eight games registering a 6-2 five-inning road win September 15 in Lyons. The “B” team also notched a victory in the knocking off the Lady Bulldogs 11-6 in five innings.
PCMS hosted Coffee Middle School Monday, September 8 with both “A” and “B” playing in the doubleheader.

LYONS — PCMS broke a 2-all tie in the fourth inning scoring twice and added two insurance runs in the fifth for the victory over the Lady Bulldogs.
Miranda Howard’s (1for-2) two-out, two-run single provided the goahead runs.

LYONS — Pierce Middle followed a scoreless first with four consecutive innings of runs to take down the Lady Bulldogs.
The Lady Bears broke the game open over the third and fourth innings scoring nine runs for a 103 lead en route to the fiverun victory.
