The Talki Foundation’s monthly support group for diabetics and their caregivers, called 912 Diabetes Initiative, meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7 pm in the Community Room at the Railway Express Agency (REA) in downtown Waycross, located at 315 Plant Ave.
The support group provides educational resources and a chance to connect with others.
The Talki Foundation, a nonprofit organization founded by Charlie Komons, is dedicated to assisting low-income diabetic patients in Georgia. The foundation achieves this by raising funds to purchase federally funded insulin. Beyond providing essential medication, the Talki Foundation also strives to raise awareness and promote education about diabetes.
Talki Foundation President Charlie Komons facilitates the monthly meeting which is hosted by Memorial Satilla Health. Call 844-630-5295 to register!
