BLACKSHEAR — Mr. Corbitt Rowland Tatum, 58, of Blackshear, died Sunday morning, September 6, 2025, at Memorial Satilla Health after an extended illness.

He was born on August 4, 1967, in Waycross to Johnny Tatum and Evelyn Elizab eth Nettles Fisher. Tatum had made Waycross and Blackshear his home for his entire life. He was self-employed as a master mechanic and loved to fish when he wasn’t working.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Tina Thrift Tatum, and his father, Johnny Tatum.

He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Fisher of Blackshear; one daughter, Tiffany Helms (Jake Leverett) of Daytona Beach, Fla.; four step children, Bethany Morgan (Brett) of Hoboken, Scott Fisher of Jacksonville, Fla., Eric Phan of Jacksonville, and Alan Mai of Waycross; three grandchildren, Anna Marie Helms, Kristina Helms, and Teagan Helms; one step grandchild, Brenleigh Morgan; one brother, Jessie Anthony Tatum of Blackshear; one nephew, Jessie Anthony “J.T.” Tatum, Jr., of Blackshear; and numerous other relatives.

A graveside service was held Wednesday, September 10 in Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
