A Blackshear man has been sentenced to life in prison with the possibility of parole plus 50 years in prison for rape, incest, aggravated child molestation and child molestation.
Robert Michael Mobley, 44, entered the plea last Friday in Pierce County Superior Court.
Judge Jeffrey Right of the Waycross Judicial Circuit presided over the case Right characterized the case as “one of the worst — if not the worst” — cases, of child molestation he had witnessed during his career as a judge.
Right made the remarks prior to sentencing Mobley.
Mobley and his wife, Alisa Mobley, were arrested in connec-Mobley tion to the case in November, 2023.
The Mobleys are accused of molesting three family members, all under the age of 12, over a period of at least a year.
Mobley pled guilty to nine counts of the original 14 count indictment returned by the Pierce County Grand Jury.
Mobley pled guilty to four counts of incest and three counts of aggravated child molestation and one count each of rape and child molestation.
Mobley will be required to serve at least 30 years confinement as a condition of the plea before he is eligible for parole.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Mark Anthony of the Waycross Judicial Circuit. Chrisshun Boddie of Lyons represented Mobley as his court appointed attorney.
Mrs. Mobley’s case is currently scheduled for trial at the end of September according to the local court calendar.
