Blackshear’s Better Hometown program will again recognize veterans with a light pole banner this year.
Veteran Banners will be displayed on street poles and in city park throughout the month of November. Cost of the banner is $80.
Those interested in purchasing a veteran banner can visit www. better-hometownblack-shear. com and complete the flag order form or simply stop by Blackshear City Hall or call (912) 590-2200. Information needed includes name, rank, branch of service and a photo. Deadline for purchasing a banner and submitting info is Wednesday, October 1. Those who have already purchased a banner in previous years do not need to purchase a new one.
