Danny Roy Tuten

Danny Roy Tuten, 68, of Blackshear passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at his residence.
Born January 1, 1957, in Blackshear, he was the beloved son of the late Johnny Leroy Tuten and Opal Moore Tuten. He graduated from Blackshear High School in 1975 and enjoyed playing quarterback for Blackshear High Tigers football team.
After high school, he continued his education and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Oral Roberts University, Oklahoma with a major in Sound Technology.  Upon graduation from college, he was fortunate to be able to travel for several years, to many different countries with The Living Sound Group. He loved music and continued his career as a sound technician after moving to California.
He had a great sense of humor, loved helping others and was a wonderful, loving father, brother, son and friend. Above all, he loved God and has been a member of Destination Church in Blackshear for many years and assisted with producing videos for the church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Barbara Ann Tuten and Glenda Elaine Tuten.
Survivors include his son Adam Tuten (Ali), San Clemente, CA; one grandson, Wesley Arthur Tuten, San Clemente, CA; two sisters Norma Jean Napier, Jacksonville, FL and Charlotte Gail Hargreaves (Jack), Crystal River, FL and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, from the Destination Church, 2081 Ware Street, Blackshear.
Interment will follow in Ben James Church Cemetery near Blackshear.
