HOBOKEN — A Pierce County man is facing many violations after turning a traffic stop into a chase on Hwy. 121 North Friday evening.
Dennis Markson Martin, age 52, of Blacksh ear, sped away from a City of Hoboken pol ice officer after being stopped. The pursuit crossed the Brantley County-Pierce County lined headed towards Blackshear.
Martin was finally stopped near St. Johns Church Road and taken into custody by the Brantley County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the Brantley County Sheriff’s report, Martin is facing charges of Removing or Affixing License Plate with Intent to Conceal or Misrepresent, Failure to Have License on Person, Failure to Obey Stop Sign, Knowingly Driving Motor Vehicle on Suspended, Canceled or Revoked Registration, Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Police Officer, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, No Proof of Insurance and DUI.

The report said deputies responded to a call in the 300 block of Shady Oaks Circle in reference to a theft.
