St. Peter’s revival runs through Thur.

St. Peters Missionary Baptist Church, 300 Fireman Street, continues its revival through Thursday, September 12.

The program starts at 7 p.m. with Pastor K.C. Davis, Pastor of First African MBC in Kingsland the special guest.

Worship theme for Davis is Awaken the Fire with the key scripture 2 Timothy 1: 6.

The Rev. Dr. Norris L. Woods, Sr. is St. Peter’s pastor.

Barnum speaks to Aglow session Waycross resident Cathy Barnum will be guest speaker for the September meeting of the Waycross Aglow Lighthouse at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 13 in the fellowship hall of Our Beloved Church, 1700 Osceola Avenue.

Barnum will be sharing her spiritual journey with attendees. She was born and raised in Queens, N.Y., and grew up as a Roman Catholic.

After completing college in the 1980s, she eventually moved south in 1990. After a traumatic family event, she came to know the Lord in October 1993.

Through the years Barnum has ministered in various capacities of service to the Lord. In 2016, she partnered with Remnant Church in Waycross and currently leads a small home group studying how to Pray the Names of God.

The study has been a rich growing experience bringing attendees to a new level in their relationship with God.

Eason to speak at Abundant Life BLACKSHEAR — Dr. Susanne Eason of Baxley, will be guest speaker at the 10:45 a.m. Worship service Sunday, September 14 at Abundant Life Christian Center, 905 Main Street, Blackshear.

Dr. Eason will speak on service on the operation of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit mentioned in 1 Corinthians 12.

Dr. Eason has spent over 30 years of her life in public education, teaching and training others. She has ministered locally and in surrounding areas as well as having travelled to many countries teaching and training leaders to move forward in God’s plan for their areas.

Pearson Methodist sets homecoming Pearson Traditional Methodist Church, 54 RobertsAvenueEast,willcelebrate homecoming with a special service and luncheon Sunday, September 21, said Brother Gary Griffin, church pastor.

Worship service is at 11 a.m. followed by lunch at 12:15 p.m. in the church's social hall. The meal will be catered by The Covered Wagon, but attendees are asked to consider bringing a dessert.

St. Peter’s to honor Dr. Woods’ service St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church celebrates the 13th Anniversary of the Rev. Dr. Norris Woods and wife, Michelle, with an Appreciation Sunday at 3 p.m. Sunday, September 21.

Guest speaker will be Pastor Doyle E. Mitchell of First African Baptist Church in Brunswick.

DC Downtown has food ministry DC Downtown Food Ministry offers food items from a 5,000-square foot warehouse at 201 Jenkins Street from 4 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

River of Life starts resource program River of Life Church, 1439 Brunel Street, offers a community resource center from 10 a.m. to noon, the fourth Friday of each month.

The program offers practical life skills, hot meals, and clothing. Next session is September 26.

Way of Cross EPC has food giveaway Way of the Cross EPC holds a free food and clothing giveaway at 8 a.m. the first Saturday of each month at 512 Lee Avenue.

The first-come, firstserved giveaway will next be held October 4.
