Unison Behavioral Health has announced the appointment of Alison Smith as its newest member of the Board of Directors representing Clinch County.
A native of Homerville, Smith brings more than 31 years of experience in education and leadership to her new role. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in special education from Georgia College & State University and went on to complete both her Master’s and Specialist degrees at Valdosta State University.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Alison to the Board,” said Tiffany Henderson, Unison Chief Executive Officer. “Her decades of leadership and passion for community service make her an outstanding advocate for Clinch County and our broader service area.”
Throughout her career, Smith served in various impactful roles, culminating in her position as Student Services Director for Clinch County Schools She was recognized for her commitment to student success, her collaborative leadership style, and her unwavering dedication to the betterment of public education.
Now retired, Smith remains dedicated to serving her community and supporting the well-being of young people. She expressed gratitude for the opportunity to continue that mission through her service on the Unison Board of Directors.
With Smith joining the Board, Unison Behavioral Health continues to strive to strengthen its commitment to representing the voices and needs of the eight counties it serves across South Georgia.
