Sharon Kay Prater Driggers, 71, of Hoboken, passed away Saturday night, August 30, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent’s Hospital—Riverside in Jacksonville, FL, following a short illness.
Born March 31, 1954, in Williamson, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Billy and Rosa Lee Roberson Prater. She grew up in Jacksonville, Florida but made her home in Hoboken.  She had worked as a nurse’s aide for Ware Visiting Nurses and enjoyed working around her house, in their garden and collecting the eggs each day.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend and was the backbone of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Terry Junior Driggers Jr.; a brother, Billy Joe Prater Jr.; a niece, Nancy Jane Prater and two sisters-in-law, Diane White and Vicki Barnett.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Junior Driggers Sr., Hoboken; three sons, Terry David Driggers, Rodney Lee Driggers and Christopher Scott Driggers, all of Hoboken; five grandchildren, Taylor Driggers, Cole Driggers, Peyton Driggers, Colton Driggers and Braylen Driggers; a great grandchild expected soon; sister, Deborah Ann Prater; a brother, Timmy Lee Prater (wife Debra); an aunt, Neary Kay West; an uncle, William James Robertson; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gail Chancey, Sandra Yarber (husband Wiley), Lana Dial, and Toni Ann Potrich (husband Nick) and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Piney Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 3855 Needham Road, Waycross, with the Rev. Joe Chancey officiating.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
