MANOR — Mr. Lloyd Edwin O’Berry, 79, of Manor, died Sunday morning, September 30, 2025 at his residence after an extended illness.
O’Berry was born in Pearson to the late James Thomas O’Berry and Pauline Wilson O’Berry. He had made Manor his home for his entire life and served his country in the United States Army.
O’Berry worked as a foreman for CSX Transportation for 37 years until his retirement in 2005. Always active and loved spending time outd oors, O’Berry enjoyed farming, cooking, processing meat, fishing and tending to his cows, hogs and chickens.
He was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Along with his parents, O’Berry was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Smithie O’Berry; his grandson, William O’Berry; two brothers, J.W. O’Berry and Freddie O’Berry; and three sisters, Ruby Brennan, Velma Jean Lloyd and Jimmy Mae Lloyd.
O’Berry is survived by three children, Missy McMillan (Alan) of Manor, Lisa Spikes (Brian) of Savannah and Ed O’Berry of Manor; five grandchildren, Bit “Lizzy” Allen, Cody McMillan (Ansley), Thomas O’Berry (Makayla), Austin O’Berry (Bailey), Callie O'Berry; seven great grandchildren, Corbin, Calista, Zeke, Lydia, Remi, Hudson and Barrett; one brother, Charlie O’Berry (Wilma) of Manor; a special friend, Dorinda Parker of Alma, and numerous other relatives.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, September 4 in Hargraves Chapel Cemetery in Millwood.
The family will receive friends beginning at 5 p.m., Wednesday, September 3 at O’Berry’s residence, 153 Manor-Millwood Road, Manor, Georgia 31550.
