DIXIE UNION — Mrs. Christine Carver Jordan, 88, passed away Sunday evening, August 31, 2025 at her residence in Dixie Union.
Mrs. Jordan was born April 6, 1937 in Atkinson County to the late Allen Carver and Maude Elizabeth Carver.
Mrs. Jordan was a loving and devoted homemaker all her life, and she was a member of Hephzibah Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stafford Jerome Jordan; her son, Ricky Jordan; and her siblings, Rev. Alton Carver of West Green, Louise Adams of Douglas, Ailene Rhoden of Pelham, Ala., and Harry Carver of Waycross.
Survivors include her daughter, Karen Barber of Dixie Union; grandson, Jordan Chase Barber (wife Courtney O’Berry Barber); and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday September 5, 2025)at Hephzibah Cemetery in Dixie Union.
